  • AwayFind – Allows folks to contact you if it's something urgent, if not it goes to your inbox/e-mail. This sounds really neat, but I wonder how well this would work considering how many people I deal with who think that their issue is terribly pressing when, in reality, it isn't.

Columbia J-School’s Existential Crisis

  • Columbia J-School’s Existential Crisis – I don't have a lot of faith in any J-School's ability to change in the right way, my alma mater included. Take, for instance: "..capable of creating an interactive graphic as they are of pounding out 600 words…" — digital journalism is most likely not going to consist of a ton of interactive graphics, I don't think the ROI is really there. I'd like to see a j-school start with the supposition that digital content is a commodity and go from there.
